I have only lost a couple of pounds but I feel great and I am much more toned. Mentally it is great on days when I am feeling blue, the workouts take care of it. The past two years when I have gone to Indianapolis for my annual breast exam, I have been told each year that everything was better than the year before. I told my doctor about our workouts and she said that was the difference-She even asked if she could get a job here at PBL!!!! I love the fact that we can work out on our lunch hour or pretty much whenever we can work it in. I LOVE IT! Linda I wanted to let you know how much I have and am enjoying the Fitness Center her at PBL. I can honestly say that I have seen a tremendous improvement in my overall fitness. I especially have noticed the increase in my stamina and strength. Quite frankly, I had always prided myself on my strength, but in recent years I noticed a significant decline in my arm strength. However, now, I believe my arm strength (as well as leg and back strength) is better than it ever was! The incentive program that PBL offered is what got me going in the first place. It was a brilliant move on PBL’s part to encourage their employees to get fit and healthy. It also keeps me going when I really don’t feel like working out! All of the fitness trainers from Fitness Experts are terrific-thanks to all of you for the great classes. Debbie The exercise program has helped me a lot. I feel better- I’m stronger and the depression is under control. It is still hard to make myself exercise, but the $600 incentive program for employees at PBL has kept me going. I really appreciate and want to thank the company for this program. I hope we can continue it. Al I have been working out with the Fitness Experts since they first came to our fitness center at PBL. Without their assistance I would not have the motivation I have now or self – esteem. Since working with Fitness Experts I have lost over 35 lbs, and I have increased my flexibility, strength, endurance, and I am definitely more agile than I have been in years! I strongly believe that these types of things are important in the work place, and overall have been very beneficial to many of my co-workers. I appreciate PBL and the Management team for all of the support. I believe the rewards program has been a great thing, it has given people who would not normally be involved the incentive and the push they need to get started in to better health and physical fitness. Elizabeth 3 ½ months ago I came into the fitness center at PBL and already I am starting to notice results! I have trimmed up & lost inches, I have lost a total of 6 lbs, my energy levels which were not very good have gone way up I can accomplish a lot more in a day. I always look forward to coming to work and going to my workouts with the Fitness Experts. I definitely feel better than I did before; I eat healthier, and think more Health conscious, working out makes me not want to eat junk! I think about what I eat more than ever before, (“calories-in calories-out”) the trainers help me think of it that way. The quarterly incentive program has also help in my venture for health and fitness it’s awesome! The program pushes me further to stay with my weight loss goals. Set goals each quarter $ reward yourself. It makes you feel that much Better that you accomplished something. It challenges me to take better care of myself & plan on not being sick at all. Jane I have not lost much weight but I feel so much better. My cholesterol has dropped almost 40 points. The doctor did change my medicine but I feel my working-out all the time has made the greatest impact. I feel (for my age) it is very important to maintain my flexibility and to keep my heart rate up. All of these things play a very important roll in what will happen to me later in life. My mother is 86 years old and walked almost every day and I see what it has done for her. PBL (Premier Boxboard Limited) has given their employees a very good program and I am very grateful for the opportunity it has given me. Dave I have been working out since October 30, 2006. I have since lost 25 lbs and dropped 4% body fat. With the Fitness Experts at PBL I was able to accomplish losing my weight and dropping body fat by changing my eating habits and working out 45 min. ad ay five times per week. I work out 3 times per week at the PBL fitness center and 2 times a week at home. Drinking 7-8 20 oz bottles of water a day and watching my portions on each meal has helped very much. I eat plenty of fruits an vegetables I leave out the chips, cookies or anything that has a lot of fat calories, and most of all staying away from empty calories. So if you are looking to lose weight, tone-I[ and feel better about yourself it is as easy as watching what you eat. Make sure to drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables and of course have an exercise program with cardio everyday for at least 45 minutes each time. It Works! |
37% of adults report they are not physically active. Only 3 in 10 adults get the recommended amount of physical activity. Nearly 60 million Americans are obese. More than 108 million adults are either obese or overweight. That means roughly 3 out of 5 Americans carry an unhealthy amount of excess weight. Adults 18 and older need 30 minutes of physical activity on five or more days a week to be healthy; children and teens need 60 minutes of activity a day for their health.
